Getting started with Kyron
This guide explains the desktop workflow. Kyron for Mac requires Apple silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 13 or later. The Windows edition is not yet available.
Keep your purchase details
After payment, save the licence file and purchase reference. Use Copy licence key on the purchase page to copy the complete key. It starts with KYRON1. Your Stripe payment details are not a Kyron licence.
Open and activate
Download the package intended for your computer and follow its installation instructions. Paste the complete licence into Kyron and choose Activate this computer. Desktop activation is checked on your computer. Keep the licence for reinstallation.
If the licence is rejected, clear the box and copy it again. Copy only the key, without a “Licence:” label. Make sure the download and licence belong to the same edition. Test licences cannot activate a live release.
Start your plan
Answer the four organisation setup questions and choose Save setup and continue. The organisation name appears under Plan foundations. Work through the guided questions; use the entry guidance when you need an explanation. Unfinished answers can be revisited.
Save a backup
Your draft saves locally as you work. Choose Download backup to create a JSON file you can restore later. Keep dated backups somewhere separate from the computer. A PDF is a readable plan, not an editable backup.
Restore a plan
Save a backup of the current draft first. Choose Restore backup and select a Kyron JSON backup. Check the organisation and key entries afterwards. Restoring replaces the current draft; use the correct file.
Print or save a PDF
Choose Preview plan, then the print option. On Windows, select Microsoft Print to PDF; clicking Print then asks for a filename. On Mac, use the print dialog’s PDF option. Open the saved document and check every page, including long tables.
Prepare for an outage
Keep accessible copies of response instructions and regular backups. Have the organisation review, approve, resource and exercise its arrangements. Completing Kyron does not certify conformity with an ISO standard or guarantee that a plan will succeed.

For download recovery, use the purchase reference saved with your licence on the purchase page. Do not pay again to retrieve an existing purchase. If a problem continues, email info@kyronbcp.com with your order reference, computer type and a brief description. Do not send passwords, card details or confidential plan contents.
